STRATEGIC PLANNING. As marketing director for a 300-employee, statewide medical group, Maggie Chamberlin Holben was instrumental in bringing the strategic planning process to her organization. She learned firsthand how effective facilitation and group interaction can bring new life and direction to a management team and significant growth to the firm. Her style draws all members of the group into the process and her method of record keeping provides for dissemination of a written report within a few days of the session – complete with prioritized goals and accountability by individual and/or department.

Maggie has led planning sessions for Galichia Medical Group, Wichita, Kansas; AuburnBank, Auburn, Alabama; Computerland of Salina and NetSpace Internet Connect Company in Kansas; AdvanceData Corporation, Wichita, Kansas; and Early Music Colorado, Denver.

MARKETING RESEARCH. Maggie’s most successful use of research was in the public sector when consulting the Sedgwick County, Kansas, Solid Waste Planning Task Force in 1996-97. She was able to quickly understand the background and challenges of the solid waste issue and demonstrate an outstanding knowledge in the area of research – developing a phone survey, which provided valuable information about the community’s Solid Waste IQ (SWIQ). In addition to major opinion and issues research, Maggie has regularly directed customer satisfaction surveys.

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT. Maggie was involved with the highly successful Residence Inn All-Suite hotel chain from the first hotel to the hundredth and until its sale to the Marriott organization. She developed sales literature and the first sales strategy as the firm first penetrated the Denver, Tulsa, Houston and Omaha markets. In the medical arena, Maggie established, hired and supervised a team of physician assistants and nurses that traveled throughout the clinic’s market area to provide follow-up service and information to referring physicians. In addition, the team also called on physician groups not currently referring to the clinic – working to make them part of the referring physician fold.

MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS. As the former president of Chamberlin-Nicks, Inc., a member of the American Association of Advertising Agencies (AAAAs), Maggie has a complete working knowledge of advertising strategy development, media planning and buying, creative development, and broadcast and print production. She knows the ins and outs of the industry and, through her experience and contacts, has the ability to make the most complex tasks look simple. Be it four-color printing, trade show booth or direct mail program, Maggie has a network of suppliers ready to accomplish the task.
